End result: the Sage Wheelset will hold up to whatever abuse you can throw at 'em. 6061 t6 aluminum rims are so strong you'll think they were built for a motorcycle, until you pick them up and realize they're light enough for a XC bike. Crank Brothers uses stainless steel straight-gauge spokes with the threading in the middle of the spoke, so they spend less time in the truing stand and more time on your bike. And did we mention that they look damn cool too?
